The famous poem by “Uncle” Jova Zmaj, “Tijo Noći” (Soft Night), has been given a new lease on life. This timeless track has been recorded with a fresh arrangement as the lead song for the film “Obraz” (The Honor), directed by Nikola Vukčević. The film “Obraz” tells a story that “breathes with the soul of a child facing a difficult fate,” and the choice of the musical score could not have been better. The song “Tijo Noći” is not just a musical track; it is an emotional bridge between the viewer and the film’s narrative.

The new arrangement is signed by Dušan Alagić, who managed to preserve the authenticity of the original using acoustic guitar and string sections, while Tijana’s interpretation brought a modern yet deeply touching note. The song was recorded at L8Night Studio in Belgrade in early 2026.

Tijana Bogićević: The “Golden Ratio” of Emotions

Tijana Bogićević did not hide her delight at being chosen to interpret this legendary song. regarding her experience working on the project for the film “Obraz,” Tijana stated:

“I felt the invitation from the film crew to sing something as strong, gentle, and eternal as the legendary song ‘Tijo Noći’ as a great honor and a sign of trust. Only after you watch the film will you understand me completely.”

Speaking about the performance itself and her collaboration with Dušan Alagić, she added:

“With his musical arrangement, he created an opportunity for the song and my voice to form a ‘golden ratio’ with the film ‘Obraz’. At moments, the film, the song, and I were the same color, the same shade.”
